Eventually, just about all homeowners get to the point where they think about moving. Some want to upsize, some want to downsize, while others just want a change.

As we gear up towards the holidays, with my favorite holiday of Thanksgiving around the corner, I want to present a market snapshot that may make home buyers thankful… the price of homes prior to January. As you can see in this nearly 6 year look-back period, the ratio of Sales Price to List Price dips in the months leading to January. The only exception is January of 2021 where the ratio remained constant. But then again, everything about 2021 real estate market was a surprise.
